Expertly designed and installed solar PV for commercial and industrial buildings, units & sites across the UK.
ENERGY THAT PAYS BACK IN YEARS, NOT DECADES
For businesses with significant electricity demand, commercial solar can turn underutilised roof space into a valuable long-term asset.
WHY CHOOSE HSENERGY
Installing since 2015
Over a decade designing and installing solar and battery systems for businesses, schools and homes.
Designed around your site
Every system is sized to your roof, energy usage and grid connection, not taken off the shelf.
Built to last
Backed by a 10-year workmanship warranty and up to 30-year manufacturer warranties.
Industries
Every site is different. System design depends on building type, how much electricity is used, when it is used, and the electrical infrastructure already in place.
01
Large, unobstructed roof areas and steady daytime loads from lighting, handling equipment and chilled storage often suit high-capacity arrays.
02
Process loads and extended operating hours mean a higher share of generated electricity can be used on-site rather than exported.
03
Weekday occupancy aligns well with solar generation; landlord and tenant arrangements need to be considered from the outset.
04
Long trading hours and refrigeration or HVAC demand create consistent consumption that on-site generation can offset.
05
A consistent design and assessment approach helps prioritise the sites that offer the strongest case first.
06
Term-time patterns, roof condition and governance processes shape system sizing and project timing.

Every building is different. Our team can provide a more detailed assessment using your actual site and electricity data.
Not included: half-hourly data, roof orientation, pitch, shading and structure, site irradiation, grid and export limits, degradation, maintenance, price changes, finance or tax, battery costs and project-specific costs. These are modelling assumptions, not HS Energy pricing or a quotation.
Our approach
01
Understand your energy usage, site requirements, objectives and investment considerations.
02

FAQs
Most commercial and industrial buildings can accommodate solar, but suitability depends on roof structure and condition, orientation, shading, available electrical capacity and how much electricity the site uses during the day. A site survey confirms whether the roof can support the additional load and what system size is practical.
Cost is driven mainly by system size, roof type and mounting method, electrical works, any grid connection requirements and access arrangements. Because these vary considerably between sites, we provide pricing following an assessment rather than quoting generic figures.
The main variables are how much generated electricity you use on-site, your current electricity tariff, the installed cost, system performance over time, any export arrangements and whether battery storage is included. A proposal should set out these assumptions clearly so they can be reviewed by your finance team.
In most cases, yes. Installation work is largely carried out on the roof, and activities such as electrical connection can be scheduled to minimise disruption. Access, safety and any planned shutdowns are agreed with you in advance.
Yes. Battery storage can help you use more of the electricity you generate, particularly where generation exceeds demand at certain times. Whether it adds value depends on your consumption profile and tariff structure, which we assess as part of the design.
On-site installation time depends on system size and site complexity. The overall timeline also includes survey, design, structural checks and Distribution Network Operator (DNO) approval, which can take several weeks or longer for larger systems. We set out an expected programme in the proposal.
Solar PV systems require relatively little maintenance. Periodic inspection, electrical testing, monitoring and occasional cleaning help maintain performance. We can advise on a suitable maintenance arrangement for your site.
Yes. For organisations with several properties, we can assess sites using a consistent approach to help identify where solar offers the strongest case and plan a phased programme.
